Recent advacements in rigid foam insulation integrate high-purity graphite into the expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation to boost the thermal performance of the material. This new material maintains the same R-value as EPS, but does so n a thinner product. The innovation can be suitable for areas constrained by space in colder climates, but design professionals need to understand its properties.
